Warbirds Over Wanaka Is Looking For Volunteers 2018

26 July 2017

Warbirds Over Wanaka (WOW) is calling for volunteers for their 30th Anniversary Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow next Easter where around 300 volunteers are required to help out at the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Warbirds Airshow.

The airshow couldn’t go ahead without the help of volunteers and WOW is grateful to anyone who is
able to spare some time to assist.

WOW is using new volunteer-specific software for 2018 to make the process of registering easier. It will
also enable WOW to better match those who sign up with jobs suited to their talents and give volunteers
pre-airshow briefings and information needed to ensure they have the best experience.

The Warbirds Over Wanaka Community Trust aims, ‘To educate through the celebration and promotion
of aviation past and present’ and puts funds back into the local region. WOW has a strong history of
volunteers returning to help time and again from around New Zealand and overseas and would love
to hear from anyone interested in joining the team.

They would prefer to have volunteers that are available for all three days of the airshow. You will meet new people, see some extraordinary flying displays and will have served a very worth cause.
