The Beethoven Violin Sonatas

29 January 2020

To celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday, Justine Cormack, founder member of the NZTrio,  joins with American pianist Kate Boyd to perform the entire cycle of Beethoven’s violin sonatas over three concerts in three Central Otago venues, with the second being hosted by the Wanaka Concert Society in the Lake Wanaka Centre on 15 February.

Each of the ten sonatas is a unique gem and the full cycle is a powerful way to intimately experience both Beethoven’s compositional evolution, as well as his unquestionable creative genius. The concerts have been structured to be enjoyed as stand-alone performances, but don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience the magnificence of the entire cycle over three mid-summer evenings.
